FEMME is for feminists.

2020. It’s been one hell of a time, right? This tumultuous yet transformative year has kicked off a new decade, one that is sure to bring a great deal of uncertainty and opportunity, particularly for those of us navigating our 20s — or attempting to anyway.

The idea for “FEMME” initially came to me during quarantine. With little else to do but sit with my own thoughts, I grew increasingly reflective and more attuned to my own opinions than I had been in a long time. So, I started writing them down. The more I wrote, the more I realized how important it is to unabashedly own your point of view, declare it openly, and engage in public discourse with a firm sense of confidence. It’s something that I, as a woman in my early 20s living under the patriarchy and combatting near-crippling imposter syndrome, am still working on. Sound familiar?

Sassy and smart, sophisticated but relatable, FEMME is a women’s blog aimed at exploring everything from personal growth to career advancement to relationships through a fun and feminist lens. Hopefully, through writing about the shit I care about and finding other like-minded people, I can empower myself and others to find our place in the world. To share our stories and show solidarity. To evolve while embracing our present selves. To carve our own paths and lead lives we are proud of in the 2020s and beyond. What that looks like is up to us.

Welcome, fellow feminists. I hope you’ll stay a while.
